The Hardware of the GPON Port is Faulty

Please check if the alarm ID is 0x2e11a002

Run the display port state command to query Port state of a GPON port.

If Port state is online. Run the display port state command to query Wavelength(nm) of a GPON port. Run the display port info command to query Wavelength(ID) of a GPON port. Check whether queried results are consistent. If they are inconsistent and not auto, modify the wavelength or replace the optical module. Then, check whether the system generates a clear alarm.

If Port state is offline, Check whether the optical module is pluggable. If the optical module is pluggable, replace it with a normal one. If the optical module is not pluggable, replace the board. Then, check whether the system generates a clear alarm.

The main causes are as follow:

• The optical module fails to be initialized.

• Data fails to be read from the optical module.

• Data on the optical module does not comply with the SFF-8472 standard.

• The optical module type is incorrect.

• The optical module connected to the port is faulty.

To solve this issue

1. Run the display port state command to query the status of the GPON port.

• If the GPON port is in off state

Replace the pluggable optical module with another one that functions properly. If the optical module is not pluggable, replace the board.

Check whether the issue is solved.

Contact Huawei for technical support if the issue is not solved.
