Handling Process

1. MA5200F is configured with ftp server enable, and FTP user name and password for login
login local-user ftp  password simple ftp
login local-user ftp service-type ftp

2. When the client FTPs MA5200F, it displays to enter user name and password, but it prompts login failure after entering password

Turn on the debug swith of ftp-server with command :debugging ftp-server,it prompts

%[2005/07/14 22:41:16-] FTPS-5-01881001: user admin( fail to log in

3. Through checkup on configuration, it is found that only the user name and password for FTP user are configured when configuring operation user, but the FTP path for the user is left. After configuring login local-user with command: user username ftp-directory flash:, the client could FTP MA5200F normally.

Root Cause
 1. Problem of configuration
2. Problem of client The case results from configuration.
Accouding to the case the reason is MA5200F is not configured with default directory for user, failing the login of the user.
