The FC card is abnormal after the OceanStor 18800 V3 is upgraded to V300R006C20

The OceanStor 18800 V3 software version is upgraded from V300R003C00 to V300R006C20.

The service host adopts IBM's SVC technology and simultaneously writes to IBM storage and Huawei 18800 storage.

The upgrade is performed using the SmartKit tool. The upgrade process is normal. After the upgrade is complete, the storage alarm is generated. The heterogeneous link is abnormal. All FC interface cards are abnormal.

Hello!

You can follow the steps below.

The host is restored to the normal compatibility of the host. After the upgrade, all the FC cards are powered off. The host can read and write to the IBM storage. The host to Huawei storage link is interrupted.

Troubleshooting

Step 1: Power off an A-control FC card at the site and automatically power off the FC after about 5 minutes after power-on.

Step 2: Power off a B-control FC card at the site. After 5 minutes of power-on, the FC automatically powers off, and the problem is not on the controller.

Step 3: Remove all fiber optic cables from A, power off and power up the A control FC card, observe 30 minutes normal, FC does not appear to be powered off.

Step 4: Remove all controller fiber cables, power off the FC card, observe normally for 30 minutes and the FC does not power off. Determine the cause of the FC power failure may be related to the peer device.

Step 5: Feedback the field test information to the background, the background gives a solution for the environment.

Step 6: Insert the fiber cable, the link returns to normal, the alarm disappears, the service returns to normal and the operation is stable for 4 hours.
