Hi, friend
Check the following items:
1. Ping the IP address of the softswitch to check
the delay and whether packet loss occurs.
l
If the delay is long and packet loss occurs,
the bearer network quality is poor. Check the network.
l
If the network is normal, go to 2.
2.
Check whether the fax mode configured on the
softswitch is the same as the fax mode configured on the IAD. For details about
how to view the fax mode of the softswitch, contact the softswitch personnel.
To view the fax mode of the IAD, perform the
following steps:
In the global config mode, run the display
protocol-mode command to check the current protocol mode of the IAD.
l
If the MGCP protocol is used, run the display
mgcp soft-parameter command in global config mode to check the fax mode. If
they are different, run the mgcp soft-parameter fax-mode command in
advanced mode to modify the fax mode. If yes, go to 3.
l
If the SIP protocol is used, run the display
sip send-capability command in global config mode to check the fax mode. If
they are different, run the sip send-capability fax pri command to change the
fax mode. If yes, go to 3.
3.
Determine the softswitch to which the softswitch
belongs. Determine the current softswitch type of the IAD. The two types must
be the same.
l
In MGCP mode, run the display mgcp
soft-parameter command to check the softswitch type configured on the IAD.
If they are different, run the mgcp soft-parameter mgc-type command to
change the softswitch type.
l
In SIP mode, run the display sip
soft-parameter command to check the softswitch type configured on the IAD.
If they are different, run the sip soft-parameter soft-switch-type
command to change the softswitch type.
