Hello, everyone!
This post will tell you one issue for The Database Was Full When an N1EFS0 Board Was Configured with VLAN Transparent Transmission Services.
Problem description:
An OSN 3500 was configured with four N1EFS0 boards. Three boards were configured with more than 1000 VLAN transparent transmission services. After the fourth board was configured with more than 300 services, the system reported that the database was full and new services failed to be configured.
Handling procedure:
To address this issue, Huawei performed the following operations:
1. Checked the versions of the four N1EFS0 boards. The versions were the same, indicating that the forth board could support more than 300 services.
2. Deleted one VLAN service on the fourth board and transparently transmitted VLAN services that had not been configured. The operation succeeded. The VLAN services that had failed to be configured could also be transparently transmitted after this service was deleted. However, configuring other VLAN services failed and the problem recurred.
3. Deleted a service on any of the other three boards and configured it to the fourth board. The operation succeeded. It was suspected that the OSN 3500 limited the number of VLAN transparent transmission services.
4. The R&D engineers confirmed that the OSN 3500 limited the number of unidirectional VLAN transparent transmission services to 8192 and the number of bidirectional VLAN transparent transmission services to 4096. The customer confirmed the number of VLAN transparent transmission services configured on the four N1EFS0 boards exceeded 4000. Therefore, new services failed to be configured.
Root cause:
An OSN 3500 limits the number of unidirectional VLAN transparent transmission services to 8192 and the number of bidirectional VLAN transparent transmission services to 4096.
Solution:
Add NEs or reduce unnecessary services.
That's all, I welcome everyone to leave a message and exchange in the comment area!
Thank you!
