Hello,

When a modular switch with two MPUs starts, once ctrl+b is used to enter the BOOT menu, the slave MPU will start first and become the master. As a result, even if the password clearing operation is performed, the password will be synchronized by the master, causing the clearing fails.

In this case, you should first remove the slave MPU to keep the device in the single MPU state. Then follow the steps you described to clear the password.

And insert the slave MPU after the MPU is started successfully.
