How is the compatibility between IGMPv3 and IGMPv1/v2?

Hi WDNJSQ,
The compatibility is poor because IGMPv3 uses the multicast IP address 224.0.0.22 to send packets. However, when the multicast router is IGMPv3 and the host uses IGMPv1/v2, IGMP-SSM mapping can be used for compatibility.
IGMP SSM mapping: used when the receiver wants to receive multicast sources in SSM mode but does not support IGMPv3.
