This post will tell you one issue for The CAMS Could Not Display the IP Addresses of Users Because the IP Address Attribute in the Billing Update Packet of the S3500EA Did Not Match That of the CAMS.
Problem description:
Version of the S3500EA: VRP520- F5305P02
When the S3500EA was interconnected with the CAMS, the billing software of the CAMS could not display the IP addresses of users.
Handling procedure:
By analyzing the packets captured, the engineer found that the S3500EA delivered the IP addresses of users through Attribute 26-60, IP_Host_Addr (representing the IP address and MAC address of a PC) in the RADIUS real-time update packet, but the CAMS obtained the IP addresses from Attribute 8, Framed_Ip_Address (representing the IP address of a PC). As a result, the fault occurred.
Root cause:
NA.
Solution:
After the device was upgraded to VRP520- F5305P06, the fault was rectified.
