Hi!

To solve this issue please:

Step 1. Check whether the IPC shield is clean.

  • If the shield is dirty, clean it.

  • If the shield is clean, go to Step 2.

Step 2. Check whether the working environment of the IPC jitters severely.

  • If yes, install the IPC in another location with no jitter.

  • If no, go to Step 3.

Note:

If the installation location of the IPC jitters severely and affects automatic focusing, install the IPC in a location with no jitter.

Step 3. Check whether the IPC is blocked by some objects or illuminated by bright light.

  • If yes, remove the object or avoid the bright light during live video viewing.

  • If no, go to Step 4.

Step 4. (For eSpace IPC2902-Z18 and eSpace IPC2802-Z18) Check whether there is too much dust in the working environment of the IPC.

  • If there is too much dust in the working environment of the IPC, change the focus mode of the IPC to Push and set the position with better preview effect to the preset position based on the surveillance site requirements.

To set the focus mode to Push, right-click a live video screen, choose Sensor Config from the shortcut menu, select Focus Setting in the PU configuration dialog box, and set the Focus mode to Push.

NOTE:

It is recommended that the object borders, object edges and corners, or positions with white/black comparison be set to the preset positions.

  • If the dust in the working environment of the IPC has little effect, go to Step 5.

Step 5. Reset the IPC's focusing distance.

This topic introduces how to set the focusing distance for PTZ cameras and non-PTZ cameras (dome cameras, box cameras and bullet cameras). For details about how to set the focusing distance for PTZ cameras, see Setting the PTZ camera focusing distance. For details about how to set the focusing distance for non-PTZ cameras, see Setting the non-PTZ camera focusing distance.

Setting the PTZ camera focusing distance

  • For PTZ cameras of the eSpace IPC V200R001C01 or eSpace IPC V200R001C02 version, the following uses eSpace IPC5811-WD-Z20 as an example to describe how to set the focusing distance. The procedure for setting the focusing distance of PTZ cameras in other versions is similar.

Access the web page of the PTZ camera, choose Settings > Channel Configuration > ISP Parameters and set the minimum focusing distance on the ISP Parameters page, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1. Setting the minimum focusing distance

NOTE:

Strictly follow the instructions on the label on the camera. The documentation is for your reference only.

  • For HD PTZ cameras of the IPE V100R001C03 version, the following uses eSpace IPC5902-Z20 as an example to describe how to set the focusing distance. The procedure for setting the focusing distance of HD PTZ cameras in other versions is similar.

Access the web page of the IPC, right-click the live video screen, choose Sensor Config from the shortcut menu and click the Focus Setting tab, as shown in Figure 2. Set thr Focus Mode and FocusNearLimit based on the surveillance site requirements. For the description of the parameters, see the Sensor Configuration Guide.

  • For SD PTZ cameras (eSpace IPC1801-Z36 and eSpace IPC1901-Z36) of the IPE V100R001C03 version, the following uses eSpace IPC1901-Z36 as an example to describe how to set the focusing distance.

Access the web page of the IPC add and invoke preset 95 under PTZ Configure, and access the MAIN MENU page, as shown in Figure 3. Use the PTZ control button on the right to choose Camera Setup > Focus. The focusing setting page is displayed, as shown in Figure 4.

NOTE:

Use the up and down arrows on the PTZ control button to select options on the MAIN MENU page and use the left and right arrows to confirm the selection. For details about the operations on the MAIN MENU page, see the Web Operation Guide.

Setting the non-PTZ camera focusing distance

Set the minimum focusing distance for dome cameras, box cameras and bullet cameras.

The minimum focusing distance of a dome camera, box camera, or bullet camera needs to be set by adjusting the focus adjustment button on the camera. The following takes eSpace IPC5201-VR as an example.

Open the lens of the camera and manually adjust the focus length. Figure 5 shows the operations.

Step 6. Check whether the fault is rectified.

  • If yes, no further operation is required.

  • If no, contact your service provider for assistance.

Hi Skyrim,

Does the PTZ jitter or display jitter?

There are many possibilities for image jitter.
1. The video Electonic stablilizer function is disabled.

2. Check whether the installation is secure. For example, check whether the fixed poles are reliable.

3. Camera PTZ mechanical failure

4. Environmental reasons.
Working environment of the IPC is severely. For example, heavy rain and strong wind.

5. The cable is faulty. The video cable is damaged. As a result, the shielding performance deteriorates. The resistance of the video cable is too large, resulting in a large attenuation of the signal.
The core wire of the video cable is short-circuited or disconnected from the shielding network. This type of fault is manifested by the generation of deeper and more chaotic large-area moire on the monitor, so that the image is completely destroyed, and the image and synchronization signals are not formed.

6. Interference from high-power electrical devices

7. Caused by the power supply system not  "clean", which means that an interference signal is superimposed on a normal power source (sine wave).
