The camera installation requirements for motion detection:

CameraInstallation Requirements:

The intelligent analysis technology can beused to analyze and compare video signals captured by cameras based onpreconfigured rules, alleviating the workload of inspection personnel andreducing mistakes caused by human negligence. However, signal collection fromthe video source may be affected by external interference. For example, acamera lens is directly exposed to strong light, or light-shade shift occurs inthe video. Therefore, in actual applications, ensure that the quality of thesignals captured by the camera meets the ideal conditions of motion detection to improve the detection performance of the motion detectionalgorithm. Camera installation affects the quality of collected camera signals. This section describes the precautions and principles for installing the cameraduring the deployment of the motion detection solution.

CameraInstallation Height and Angle:

The installation height and angle of thecamera must meet the following requirements:

Generally, the large tilt anglewill bring a good detection effect (it is recommended that the tilt angle begreater than 30° but smaller than 60°, and the optimal angle is 45°).

The surveillance range and the objectsize in the image are proper. If the camera installation height is too high, the surveillance object will be too small to be tracked. If the installationheight is too low, the installation horizontal angle decreases. As a result, the size of the surveillance object is too large, and the object will be split. It is recommended that cameras be installed at a height ranging from 3–6 m.Additionally, the optimal percentage of the object size (height) to the entireimage size ranges from 1/4 to 1/2.

too high or too low:

The percentage of the surveillanceobject in the image, object integrity, and effective separation of multiplemoving objects must be taken into account during the calculation of the camerainstallation angle and height. below shows the recommended installation angle and height of a typical motiondetection camera
