The AR supports SFP and SFP+ optical modules. You must select the proper optical module, optical fiber type (single-mode or multimode), optical fiber connector (LC/PC, SC/PC, or FC/PC), and set the proper rate for the local device according to the optical module used on the peer device. If the local and peer devices use different types of optical modules, they may fail to communicate with each other.
The AR series routers must use Huawei-certified optical modules. Non-Huawei-certified optical modules cannot ensure transmission reliability and may affect service stability. Huawei is not responsible for any problem caused by the use of non-Huawei-certified optical modules and will not fix such problems.
