Today, I continue to share with you a useful case about the APs connected to the ONT can't get the IP address.
Problem Description
Customer network as below:
The issue is when mobile phone connects to AP1 first, then going to floor8 connect to AP2, can't get the IP address from the DHCP server. if the mobile phone does not move only connect to floor 7 or floor 8 no issue, move the mobile phone from floor 8 to floor 7 no issue too.
Root Cause
When the mobile connection to the copper network, the mobile mac-address can be learned in the OLT uplink port, when move the mobile to floor 8, due to the mac-address leaning priority NNI side higher than UNI side before the mac-address in the uplink portaging, the packet of the same mac-address from uni side sends to the OLT will be discarded.
Solution Description
Change the UNI and NNI mac-address leaning priority in the OLT to the same：
