The annual software service fee expired
This alarm is generated when the system detects that the annual software service fee in the eSight has expired. This alarm is automatically cleared when the system detects that the annual software service fee in the eSight is in the valid period.
In the license file, the software upgrade deadline has exceeded the expiration date.
1. Check whether the annual software service fee has reached or exceeded the expiration date.
a) Choose System > System Management > License Management from the main menu.
b) In the License Information area on the License Management page, view the value of Software Upgrade Expired On. Check whether the annual software service fee has reached or exceeded the expiration date.


a) If yes, go to Step 2.
b) If no, go to Step 4.
2. Apply to the administrator for a license file.
a) Obtain an equipment serial number (ESN). In the License Managementpage, clickObtain ESN. Depending on the type of server, select a different tab page.
b) ChoosePhysical Server, select a Message Authentication Code (MAC) address or enter the MAC address of a server to obtain an ESN. Choose Virtual Machine to get the automatically generated ESN.
Apply to the administrator for a license file.
3. Import the license file that is applied for to eSight.
a) In the License Management page, click Import License.
b) On the Import License page, click ... next to License file.
c) In the displayed dialog box, select the new license file, and click Open.
d) Click Upload to import the license file to eSight.
e) Click Apply. The license file is immediately applied.
The imported license takes effect immediately after restarting the eSight in the following scenarios:
I. the imported license does not include functional module changes and includes only resource item quantity changes. Alternatively, the license corresponding to a functional module is added or deleted but the corresponding functional module is not installed on the eSight.
II. if the imported license includes functional module changes (that is, the license corresponding to a functional module has been added or deleted and the function module has been installed on the eSight), select an operation in the window that is displayed.
If Yes is clicked, the eSight automatically restarts in one minute. The imported license takes effect after the eSight restarts. Functional modules without licenses do not start.
4. Wait for five minutes. In the current alarm list, check whether the alarm is cleared.
a) If yes, no further action is required.
b) If no, go to Step 5.
5. Collect the information about alarm handling and contact the technical support personnel.
