Today has been a good production day, and wondered how the inverter was doing. We are at around 70-80% capacity (need to add a third string), and the inverter seems to be chilling and cool to the touch.
The internal temperature is almost 52°C, but the heat sink is much cooler. Interstingly the temperature rise is very slow, almost as if it had a large thermal mass compared to the parts that heat up.

There is a dip in temperature at 2am (for some reason it wakes up every night). The temperature it reports isn't the current value, unless the inverter is operating. Otherwise it only shows the previous value (that is why it displays 42°C at midnight)
These are thermal images of the inverter, showing 36°C at the top of the unit. Think today is around 24°C. Pretty good for a fanless, whisper quiet inverter.
