[TechNotes] DHCP Emulation Test is the Best Way to Locate DHCP Service Faults

Latest reply: Oct 21, 2020 01:31:17 611 3 3 0 1

Hello, everyone!

In a DHCP emulation test, an access node emulates a DHCP client to apply for an IP address from a DHCP server.

By doing so, the access node can test the connectivity between the access node and DHCP server and therefore the validity of DHCP configurations on the DHCP relay agent, DHCP agent, and DHCP server.

In addition, the access node can ping a remote server to test the connectivity between them.
