This is my first month working in Huawei and I just want to share my experience with conducting a POC service to a bank here in the Philippines.
We were tasked to connect a Huawei TE to their existing network with Cisco endpoints. We asked their IT dept to let us connect to their WAN then proceeded to perform a P2P call with their endpoint located inside the building and also an endpoint located on Cebu. It was a success and we were able to compare the two endpoints' performance; the customers were truly amazed with the audio and video quality of the Huawei endpoints.
At first I thought we had to register with their SIP server to be able to perform the interoperability with Huawei's H.323 endpoint. But they said they had no server on their system, so we tried to just call the IP address of the Cisco endpoint. After that, I realized that the P2P call doesn't need any SIP server or a GK as long as the two endpoints were connected with each other within a network.
I am looking forward to creating a VC environment and fully understand its features, capabilities and limitations and maybe someday seamlessly operate and troubleshoot all VC products.
