Welcome, all,

In B/M article will explain what the switching mode in MW links

Switching Mode In MW & Optical Links

-It is switching from the main link to the standby link. Standby link for protection of course but how?

-The protection switching include

-Revertive & non-revertive

-Revertive protection switching

It means that if the main link has a problem and standby working and after the problem of the main link solved the data back to the main link after 10 minutes "called WRT=wait to restore"

-Non-Reverive protection switching

It means if the main link has a problem and standby working but after problem solved the standby continue working

till the link is totally down then will back to its normal operation mode on the main link.
