  Rewarded HiCoins: 1 (problem resolved)

I used the undo portswitch command and proceeded to attempt configuring an ip address using the "ip address ip address subnet mask" command and it gives me the following error:

Not sure what the issue is.

Hi!

In the case of S5700 in eNSP, it cannot be assigned an IP address for the physical interface. The vlanif interface should be adopted.

In the case of  some AR routers, a few LAN interfaces cannot be assigned IP addresses.

Dear user,

You can use display version to view the version of the S5700 switch on eNSP.

In the case of the S5700 switch, in V200R005C00 and later versions, after you run the undo portswitch command on an interface to switch the Ethernet interface from Layer 2 mode to Layer 3 mode, the interface can be configured with an IP address.

I mean checking the version of the S5700 switch, not the version of eNSP.

I checked the version of the switch, and its in the title of the post. I checked the version using the "display version" command. Do you mean the VRP version? It's "Software Version : VRP (R) Software, Version 3.30 (V200R001C00)"
