Dear friend!
For your question, please perform the following steps:
1. Query all services carried on the PTN 960.
2. Install service boards on the PTN 980 that can carry all services on the PTN 960.
3. Install and commission the PTN 980.
4. Service migration
a. For services terminated on the PTN 960
Whether a standby port is available on the client-side device and whether protection switching is supported.
If the client-side device has a standby port and supports protection switching, you can re-create the same service on the PTN 980, connect it to the standby port on the client-side device, and then perform protection switching.

If the client-side device does not have a standby port and does not support protection switching, services will be interrupted during service migration.
b. If services only pass through on the PTN 960

If the tunnel that passes through the PTN 960 is the standby tunnel, you can change the route of the tunnel so that the tunnel can pass through the PTN 980 directly.
If the tunnel passing through the PTN 960 is the active tunnel, forcibly switch services to the standby tunnel, and then change the route of the active tunnel. Cancel the switchover after the modification.
5. After the service migration is complete, you can remove the PTN 960 and the optical fiber connected to the PTN 960.
