The local standards suggest to keep the PV cables separated by polarity. It should be safe to have the wires side by side (the insulator is wider than the arcing distance), but would like to conform to norms.

I assume that all the negatives are interconnected at the inverter's input, so these should be ok to bunch up. Not sure if the positives are interconnected at the inverter's input (as the diagram suggest), or there is a dc converter (not counting the optimizers) between the inputs and the dc-ac inverter?

If the polarities from the PV arrays are interconnected, there should be a minimal voltage difference among wires of the same polarity. This would allow me to group the positives together and as well as the negatives, without concern. My only concern would then be between the wires and ground.

Could you please confirm this, or set me straight.

I'm not trying to interconnect the arrays between themselves, but concerned about the voltage between the wires, standards, and 30 years down the road

The negative poles of all PV strings are connected in parallel in the inverter. Therefore, voltages are the same and can be bound to each other.

The positive voltages of all PV strings are independent in the inverter. Therefore, there is a differential pressure.

so this inverter can be used without software upgrade?

Hello, what is the model of your device?
@Keirakchris Why would you need a software upgrade? As much as I would like to see an upgrade (hint, hint, wink wink), haven't seen a problem with the inverter
