SUN2000-EV adapter?

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

I have a solar system with SUN2000-6ktl-m1 smart energy controller which is battery ready. Is there any solution to charge an Electric Vehicle from the SUN2000? I mean a SUN2000-EV Typ2 adapter which is connected to the battery ports of the controller (instead of the LUNA2000 battery). I would like to "slow" charge an EV just from the solar el to maximize the use of my own electricity.

Thanks.

You mean without the grid? In the case of grid-connected inverters, the inverter can output 220 V power. In the case of pure off-grid inverters, the LAN and PV modules must be configured to output 220 V power. In grid-tied and off-grid scenarios, a back-up box is configured to output 220 V power even when the mains fails.

Hi,

The inverter is connected to the grid. The goal is the maximum self-consumption with an EV instead of a LUNA2000.

No such attempts have been made and it is not recommended to use the storage port for charging attempts on electric vehicles. There may be bad consequences.

LUNA2000,It can only be connected to Huawei inverters, not to basic equipment.

Most of the features are already in the Huawei inverter which is needed for an EV charger. One of the Huawei's competitor has already a PV inverter with built-in EV charger. I just thought an adapter to the battery port is not a huge improvement to make it available. The adapter could be very simple, just a socket for the standard type2 cable (without the cable).

Hi,
Great to hear. Approximately when will it be available? Can we have an open discussion about the features of the adapter or it is secret?
Thanks.

@GGPV I was thinking along the same line.

Even without the charging ability, an EV would be a great emergency battery for the inverter. Both the DC side of the inverter (on some models) and EV battery work around 350-400V DC. So as long as you aren't charging the battery (you need something to control the charge rate, luna module sounds good to me, or the comet. Do you like asteroid better?) you should be able to draw current from the EV (on bidirectional systems) to power your house during emergencies.
