Hi,

I have a SUN2000 -10KTL-M1 and 38 solar panels strings divided in two strings of each 19 panels. The panel specs are:

  • Maximum Power (Pmax): 395 W

  • Maximum Power Current (Imp): 9,59 A

  • Maximum Power Voltage (Vmp): 41,2 V

  • Short Circuit Current (Isc): 10,07 A

  • Open Circuit Voltage (Voc): 49,7 V

My question: can I connect all 38 panels on this inverter (10KTL-M1) or not ?

If I am calculating correctly per string there is 19x41,2V =782,8 V for each PV string input so together (PV1+PV2) this would be 1565,6 V. This would exceed the total of 1100 V.

Is there a set max for DC input PV1 and PV2 seperately ?

Hello, friend.

1. PV1 and PV2 belong to different MPPTs. The voltages between PV1 and PV2 do not affect each other.

2. Maximum PV input voltage. The open-circuit voltage needs to be calculated, that is, 19x49.7.

3. If the same MPPT has two PV input strings regardless of the inverter model, the two PV input strings are connected in parallel. Therefore, the voltages should be the same rather than the sum.

Thanks for the quick response.

So if I understand this correctly for the SUN2000-10KTL-M1 inverter there is a maximum input voltage of 1100V per MPPT. Correct ?
