HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

we have installed 2 SUN2000 10KTL in cascade following the instruction manual with RS485 the slave and WiFi dongle to the master.

During the installation trough fusionsolar, everything went fine and it recognize both inverter and the dongle.

At the end of installation we only can see the master inverter in fusionsolar and non the slave.

We did not installed the power meter, is it compulsory to be installed?

Thanks for reply

Hello, friend.

Yes, back current prevention requires a meter. Use a smart meter. The electric meter and the smart communication stick must be connected to the same inverter. If cascaded inverters are connected to energy storage devices, a maximum of three inverters can be cascaded, and any inverter can be connected to energy storage devices. (The inverter connected to the smart communication stick must be connected to the energy storage device.)

Many thanks for your reply:
- we do not have storage device installed
- Is the meter compulsory only to set the two inverter in cascade? We never had this condition using for i.e. Fronius or Kostal inverters setting in master and slave.
- Smart dongle is connected correctly at the moment to the master inverter
In case meter is a condition to operate in cascade, we may connect both inverters with it's dongle installed on each inverter and check them separately in fusion solar

Hello, friend.
Sorry, I didn't describe it clearly. The electric meter and energy storage are optional and not required. The electric meter is required only in the case of anti-backflow.

Ok thanks, may you tell me then what are we doing wrong with these PV System with 2 SUN2000 10KTL in cascade? We are able to see only one inverter in fusionsolar and the dongle, the second one (slave) has no dongle installed and is connected via RS485 to the master one. During the setup fusionsolar recognized both inverter and the dongle. I don't figure out what could be the issue.
Thanks.

Hello, friend.
The first of the two cases may be a problem with your device, please upgrade to the latest version. Secondly, it could also be a FusionSolar display error, we suggest you contact the PV center to deal with it. You can send an email to the following email address, describing your problem and attaching your SN number.

Check whether the communication addresses and RS485 cables between the inverters are correct. (The two inverters must be unique.)

Check whether the communication addresses between the inverters (the two inverters must be unique) and the RS485 cable connections are correct.

In cascading scenarios, you need to manually search for cascaded inverters.
