Hello, everyone!
Today, I'm going to introduce you some of the most popular knowledge and questions in the Access section of the Enterprise Networking Forum.

I hope you'll take a look at the content, because the access network is close to our lives, and it's common in our family.
If you read this article carefully, I believe it will bring you some help and rewards.
First of all, let's look at the most important device in the access network: ONT.

Many friends do not know ONTs.
I will introduce Huawei ONT through a video. Please click Help you quickly get to know Huawei ONT
When I reply to your questions, I often find some friends asking about ONTs under the router module. As a result, the problems cannot be found in time.
Here, I would like to state that ONT does not belong to the routers, ONTs are common optical modems in our family, for the differences between ONTs and routers, see the following content: Introduction to Optical Modem and Router
When you come across something like Can't login to the admin panel on an HG8546M/ Default password doesn't work for EchoLife EG8145v5/ The Wi-Fi password of Huawei router is forgotten/ How to log in to the DG8045 WebUI?/ How to download the software and firmware of the HG8546M, you can refer to the following:
The preceding content is about the basic ONT problems that are frequently asked. Next let's learn about ONT configurations.
I'm going to pick the following articles for you to learn:
Now, let me introduce another important device in the access network: OLT.

What is OLT?
An OLT is short for the optical line terminal.
An OLT is an optical line terminal. It is a central office device of China Telecom. It is used to connect optical fiber trunks. It functions as a switch or router on a traditional communication network and functions as an ingress device on the external network and an egress device on the internal network. The most important functions are traffic scheduling, buffer control, and user-oriented passive fiber network interfaces and bandwidth allocation.
In simple terms, it implements two functions: upstream access to the PON network. For the downstream, the obtained data is sent to all ONU user terminals through the ODN network.
We should learn more about how to configure OLTs. Now I'll select some good articles for you.
That's the access network knowledge I've sorted out for you.
If you have any other questions, please come to the Access Network and release your questions as an Ask for Help post.
