I have a topoloy in which CE are connected with 2 differenet PE(6720EI) i want to run STP on CE network so STP packet should be passed from VPLS VSI.

I have configured as given in document.

[PE1] vcmp role silent[PE1] interface gigabitethernet0/0/1
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] port link-type hybrid
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] quit
[PE1] interface gigabitethernet0/0/1.1
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1.1] dot1q termination vid 10
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1.1] l2 binding vsi a2
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1.1] l2protocol-tunnel stp enable
[PE1-GigabitEthernet0/0/1.1] quit

i am not able to find "l2protocol-tunnel stp enable"

Can anyone guide where i am going wrong. i am havng 6720-EI as PE switch.

Hi dkd_nvs,
Check the product documentation, S6720-EI does not support the configuration of VPLS-based Layer 2 protocol tunneling.
Only the S5720-HI, S5730-HI, S5731-H, S5731S-H, S5732-H, S6720-HI, S6730S-H, and S6730-H support configuring VPLS-based Layer 2 protocol tunneling.
I hope it helps!

Hope to help you!

IF i can get any configuration example where PE are 6720-E1 and CE are 5700 or 6720-EI....want to run STP protocol on CE device which is connected to 2 different PE forming a ring. I have seen the document but could not replicate the same in live network. unable to apply command under sub-interface.

l2protocol-tunnel stp enable

I have configured the same command on switch but when i check stp on CE side no port is showing in blocking.
PE1===>CE1====CE2===:PE2.

Blocking is not happening on any swithc interface. i am using MODE as STP.

Hello!
1) Please double check the compatibility of VPLS-tunnel with your hardware|software
1-1)
https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/ru/doc/EDOC1100065685/aabbce27/licensing-requirements-and-limitations-for-vpls
1-2) Also, at this guide (V200R012(C00 and C20) )
https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/ru/doc/EDOC1100038339/2798a447/optional-defining-characteristic-information-about-a-layer-2-protocol
1-3) Use (change the "Current version:" to yours...)

https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/info-finder/switches/s6700-pid-6691593/commands?version=S6700 V200R020C10&keyword=l2protocol
(check command <--> soft compatibility)
1-4) So, Maybe you need software upgrade
2) Look at the another solution Q-in-Q, for example
