As described in the Huawei document the when any incident has happened on port or stp level this will lead to generating BPDU with TCN set toward root switch and root send new BPDU to all downstream switches with TC bit set.
the latest BPDU will help to flush all MAC addresses which have assigned to ports in order to speed up the convergence.
So my Question:
if we enable stp edged-port on a specific port, can this stop the functionality of TCN with flush the MAC addresses on this port or not.
Your understanding is correct. If an interface is set as edge-port, when the interface status changes(down to up), the device will not send TCN BPDU, and when received TCN BPDU, the mac entries of the edge-port will not be flush/deleted.
