Handling Service Alarms
You can handle historical alarms, including searching for historical alarms, manually acknowledging alarms, and playing alarm-triggered recordings.
- Log in to the IVS C/S client as the Admin user and access the Alarms tab page.
- Click the Historical Alarms tab. The Historical Alarms tab page is displayed,
- Search for alarms.

In the Protection Zone List, Camera List, or Alarm Source List panel, select one or more devices whose historical alarms you want to query.
- Set search criteria.
- Click Search. Alarms that meet the search criteria are displayed.

Select an alarm that is not processed or is to be acknowledged.

Click Acknowledge.
- In the
Alarm Acknowledgement dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
If the Alarm Acknowledgement dialog box contains an Acknowledgement description text box, enter information in that text box.
Alarm-triggered recordings can be played only when the video recording linkage action has been configured for the alarm source. If you have not configured any video recording linkage action for the alarm source, the system will display a message indicating that no recording is found.

Select an alarm generated by a camera that has been linked to video recording.
- Click View Recorded Video to switch the Playback tab page to play the alarm-triggered recording.
Handling Device Alarms
You can view the current alarm and query alarm information through the NMS on the C/S client.
- Log in to the IVS client as the Admin user, double-click NMS, and access the Alarms tab page. Current Alarm displays real-time system alarms. Search for Alarms can be used to search for historical alarms.
- Click the Current
Alarm tab, as shown in
Figure 2, or click the Search for
Alarms tab to query
historical alarms by time.

- Set search criteria.
- Click Search. Alarms that meet the search criteria are displayed in the Alarm List.
- Double-click an alarm in the Alarm List or
click a hyperlink of the alarm type in the alarm information to view alarm
details, as shown in Figure 3.

- Click Check Details. Alarm handling suggestions are displayed, providing guidance for users to handle alarms.
