SSID Configuration

Dear friend,

1. The default IP address of HG659 is generally 192.168.1.1. Enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser.

2. Enter the default login account and password of the HG659 and click Log in.

• Username: user;

• Password: HuaweiUser.

3. In the navigation tree, choose Home Network > WLAN Settings > Advanced Settings. In the pane on the right, you can configure the advanced parameters related to the Wi-Fi network.

4. Select Hide broadcast and click Save.

Hide broadcast indicates whether to enable SSID hiding. If Hide broadcast is selected, a wireless client cannot find the WLAN. To join the WLAN, enter the SSID. SSID hiding enhances WLAN security.
