some ports are not working

Dears

i have strange issue with my Quidway SS7703 V200R005C00SPC300

the issue is that the optical 10G ports was working fine with no issue but suddenly only 3 ports are working  while the other 37 port are down,, i changed the optical modules which is huawei modules and re installed the board still same issue

cheked the board it normal and working fine

also note donot know if it is related or not but one of the power module is Unregistered but it is present.

i suspected it is power issue but the there some ports working

also oe last thing most of the unworking ports have this alarm

Alarm information:

  RX loss of signal

  RX power low

can you advice me what could be the cause?

Hi user_3896063,
If RxPower Low is displayed, the received signal strength on the local end is too low. When this occurs, the local interface cannot go Up or may drop packets. Check whether the distance between the local and remote ends exceeds the maximum transmission distance of the remote optical module, whether the optical modules or fibers are damaged, whether the optical modules and fibers mismatch (for example, multimode fibers are used on a single-module optical module), whether joints of optical fibers are reliably welded, and whether the transmit power of the remote optical module is too low.

Thanks for your reply but I checked by another optical modules it did not work also. And the connection was working fine before was same cables and modules it is very strange. May be the ports itself got Faulty I donot know

According to your description, the hardware of the switch may be faulty. In this case, we cannot locate the fault. You are advised to contact the TAC, who will remotely access the network to locate the fault. Finally, a solution is provided.
