This post is about some network ports on the host cannot be displayed. Please see more details further down.

Problem symptom

Some network ports on the host are not displayed on the FusionCompute web client.

Root cause analysis

The NIC model with the display problem is Mellanox 27520, the network adapter of it is not in the compatibility list, and the PCI number are the same due to network adapter faults. As a result, some network ports cannot be identified by the system.

Solution description

It is recommended that you replace the network adapter to avoid the problem.

1. Some network ports on the host are not displayed.

2. Check whether the network adapters with display problems are all Mellanox 27520. The display of other network adapters is normal.

3. Check the FusionSphere compatibility list and find that it does not contain the NIC and server information.

4. Log in to the host and check the network port information. There are only four network port (under normal circumstances, the host should display 6 network ports).

5. Further analysis shows that the PCI numbers of the eth0 and eth1, eth4, and eth5 network ports are the same (eth2 and eth3 are different, respectively, 3d: 00.0 and 3d: 00.1) and eventually some network ports are not recognized by the system.
