Hello everyone,
Today, I would like to share with you this topic which describes some function pages on NCE (Transport Domain) Open Slowly due to memory overflow of NemgrWebtransService.
Keywords: memory overflow, NemgrWebtrans
[Problem Description]
Trigger conditions:
1. The NCE version is NCE V100R019C00SPC600.
2. NemgrWebtransService runs for a long time and the following functions in the NE Explorer are frequently used:
RTN series NEs: Microwave Link Configuration, Physical Link Aggregation, Link Configuration, IF Interface, ODU Interface, Clock, LLDP Configuration, Port Mirroring, Ethernet Protocol Configuration, Ethernet Protection, License Management, PRBS Test, and Performance Graph Analyse
WDM series NEs: WDM Interface, PRBS Test, DCC Management, OTN Overhead, ECC Management, Clock, LLDP, Environment Monitoring Configuration, and ASON
Symptom:
Some functions of NCE V100R19C00SPC600 respond slowly or do not respond. For details about the functions, see 2 in Trigger conditions.
Identification Method
1. The NCE version is NCE V100R019C00SPC600.
2. Use FileZilla to log in to the NMS node (use the floating IP address of the NMS node) and check whether the java_pid***.hprof file exists in the /opt/oss/NCE/apps/NemgrWebtransService directory.

[Root Cause]
On NCE V100R019C00SPC600, each time when a user opens a function page in the NE Explorer, the code logic of NemgrWebtransService is incorrect. (For details about the functions, see 2 in Trigger conditions.) As a result, cached data is accumulated continuously and memory overflow occurs after the service runs for a period of time.
[Impact and Risk]
Some functions of NCE V100R19C00SPC600 respond slowly or do not respond. For details about the functions, see 2 in Trigger conditions.
[Measures and Solutions]
Solutions:
Install NCE V100R019C00SPC601 and later patches.
Recovery measures:
Restart NemgrWebtransService. The procedure is as follows:
1. Log in to the management plane.
2. On the management plane, choose Product > System Monitoring from the main menu. The corresponding product is displayed in the upper left corner of the page. If the current product is not NCE-T, click
to switch to NCE-T.

3. Under the Service node, search for NemgrWebtransService. Select NemgrWebtransService and click Stop on the right of the page.
