Hi team!
Here's a summary of several FAQs about capacity of LUN (follow up).
Question 1
How do I specify the capacity of the secondary LUN in a remote replication?
Answer
The capacities of the primary and secondary LUNs must be the same in a remote replication.
Query the number blocks in the primary LUN, and then specify that same capacity for the created secondary LUN.
Question 2
Why does the modification not take effect immediately after the host type of a storage device is changed?
Answer
Cause
Although the modification displays a successful result in DeviceManager or the CLI, it has not actually taken effect. You must perform further operations before the modification will take effect.
Solutions
1. Scan LUNs on the host again.
2. Disconnect the host from the storage array, and then reconnect them.
Question 3
Does the V3 series support the capacity expansion and division of an eDevLUN?
For example, a 2 TB eDevLUN is scanned by a V3 storage array.
Can the LUN be divided into two 1 TB LUNs and then mapped to the server?
Answer
No. Currently, the V3 series supports only eDevLUN capacity expansion.
Hope this can help you with similar questions.
