We know the importance of always keeping our equipment with the updated software version. On procedure today would like to demonstrate how to get the recommended software version directly from the Huawei portal for the NetEngine 8000-M8.
Procedure
1 – Access the Huawei website via the link: https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/index.html , and login with your account:
2 - Once logged in, click on "Software download"
3. You will be redirected to another page, where you should search for the desired item. In the example, I'm looking for the NetEngine 8000-M8 software files. Therefore, I am following the following path:
ALL products > wold N > NetEngine 8000
4. Now we must search for our desired equipment from the NetEngine 8000 line, and the desired version as well. In my case, I'm looking for a more stable version for my equipment, which is the NetEngine 8000-M8.
So, in the “Search by” field I choose the NetEngine 8000 equipment. In the “Select Version” field I can search for all available versions or a specific version. In this case, I'm looking for a specific version which is the V800R012C10SPC300, because I know that this version is the most suitable for my equipment. The indicated versions are represented by the “like” symbol. Well, as we found our version, we will click on it to download it.
5. We will be redirected to another page to download the software file. If the file is released, after clicking “Download” the download will start automatically. If it is blocked, we must make the release request. In our case it is locked, this lock is represented by the padlock symbol.
6. We must submit a software download request. To submit this request, we need to fill in some fields that describe why we need to download this software. Fill in carefully and with as much detail as possible.
After the request is submitted, it will go through a process of evaluation and, consequently, approval or denial. This process can be very fast.
