Hello everyone!
Let me share a case about that software Fails to Be Loaded Because the Subrack Housing the PV4 Board Is Not Added to the UA5000.
Description:
Loading software to the PV4 board connected to the UA5000 fails. The PV4 control board is H303PV4.
Handling Process:
1. If the TFTP server can be pinged from the UA5000, it indicates that the network is normal.
2. Backing up the configuration file on the device also backs up the configuration file to the TFTP server.
3. It is confirmed that the PV8 or PV4 connected to the UA5000 is loaded with the same software. The software for H303PV8 should be loaded. However, the fault persisted when loading the H303PV8.
4. Check the customer data and confirm that the subrack housing the PV4 board is not added.
5. Add the PV4 subrack by running the UA5000(config)#frame add subrack ID FrameType command. Select the same subrack type as the PV8 board for FrameType, namely, 25: PV8_10(HGB), as shown in the following figure. After the inter-subrack connection is added, the loading goes normal.
Root Cause:
The subrack housing the PV4 board is not created. As a result, the software cannot be loaded.
Solution:
Create a PV4 subrack and add inter-shelf links.
Suggestions:
1. Loading software to the PV8 board:
The H302PV8/H303PV8 board supports two types of software. One is the NE software, which is used when the boards are in the master subrack in the HONETV2 scenario. It supports the interconnection with V5 interfaces. The other is the PV8 board software, which is used when the PV8 board in a slave subrack in MD5500 and UA5000 scenarios. It can cascade with RSP slave subracks through HW cables. When the PV8 board is switched from HONETV2 to UA5000, the board software needs to be updated (through hardware DIP switch).
2. In UA5000 V100R019C01SPC200 and later versions, the H601PVMD supports PV8 slave subracks (other control boards do not support PV8 slave subracks).
3. Select the same subrack type as the PV8 board for FrameType when adding the subrack housing the PV4 board.
That's all, welcome everyone to leave a message to discuss.
Thanks.
