This topic describes the solution to unable to view agent status.


Issue description

The customer reported an issue when the querying the user status on the SoftConsole the option Enable automatic query cannot be selected.

Customer is using the firmware eSpace ECS V200R002C00SPC213B011

Handling process

In order to troubleshoot the reported issue we have searched the Release Notes for the current firmware used by the customer on the Console Server to make sure that nothing has been changed that could affect the configuration of this feature and also checked the parameters/settings on the SofConsole server.


Root Cause

This issue is caused by the network type selected on the Console Server. It is set as the default value which is UC3.0 and in this case the unified gateway works like a USM. 


Solution

In order to be able to configure the target feature log in to the ConsoleServer and inout the admin credentials (admin and password huawei123 as per default) and choose MonitoringStartup Settings from the menu bar and there you will see the System Settings and make sure that the Network Type is set to Not UC3.0 as per the below screenshot:

After the changes are applied the ConsoleServer needs to be restarted in order to apply the changes.
