Can anyone point out if there is an snmp trap that would trigger after a config change? Or if there is a syslog that can be enabled also?

Hi brianpmcp,

The SNMP trap name is 'hwCfgConfigChangeLog'. You can run the display snmp-agent trap all command to view it's current switch status. If the status is off, run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name  CONFIGURATION  trap-name hwCfgConfigChangeLog command to enable it.

Hope this helps you.

On Syslog you have this message:

CONFIGURATION/6/RUNNING_CFG_CHANGE

Message

CONFIGURATION/6/RUNNING_CFG_CHANGE: Configuration changed. (CurrentCfgChgSeqID=[CurrentCfgChgSeqID], CfgChgSeqIDReveralCount=[CfgChgSeqIDReveralCount], CfgChgTableMaxItem=[CfgChgTableMaxItem], CfgBaselineTime=[CfgBaselineTime])

I don't find a similar trap node for AR.

On the AR, the following log has record the config change:

SHELL/5/CMDRECORD

Message

SHELL/5/CMDRECORD:Recorded command information. (Task=[string], Ip=[string], VpnName=[STRING], User=[string], AuthenticationMethod="[STRING]", Command="[string]")

You can enable the logbuffer to record the SHELL module information.
