SNMP

 

SNMP is the simple Network Management Protocol. The protocol is used for transmitting management messages between two points, working with the unreliable UDP protocol. The SNMP protocol is independent of its managed devices. Both IP devices and ATM devices can be managed through the SNMP protocol.
