Hi there, everybody!
This post provides the solution to the issue that SNCP can't auto switch. Please see more details below.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
SNCP switching problem.
ISSUE ANALYSIS
There is a SNCP service in the customer’s network. When encountering a channel fault, the protection group can’t auto switch.
ROOT CAUSE
The protection group status is not correct.
SOLUTION DESCRIPTION
When SNCP protection groups were frequently added or deleted, there was a very low probability that the software incorrectly configured the SF source selection register. As a result, the state of the protection group was incorrectly displayed as SF and automatic switching failed for the SNCP protection group.
It is recommended not to frequently add or delete protection groups on the live network. After configuring an SNCP protection group, perform a manual switching test to check whether the configuration is correct and whether the channels are normal.
