Hello, everyone. I want to share with you the best troubleshooting procedures to follow when SMC2.0 fails to schedule a conference
Background
If SMC2.0 fails to schedule the conference you have to check as below :
1. Check whether the license is invalid.
2. Confirm that the MCU is online on the SMC2.0 .
3. Confirm whether the MCU resources displayed on the SMC2.0 are sufficient.
4. Try to schedule only 1-2 venues to confirm whether a meeting can be held.
5. Confirm that SMC2.0 related services are operating normally.
Procedures
Step 1 Check whether the license is invalid
è Log in to the SMC2.0 as the admin user . Enter the "Help" menu. Select "View License " to view the current license status. If the license status is displayed as invalid, it means that the license has expired and you need to apply for a new license .
Step 2 Confirm that the MCU is online on the SMC2.0 . .
è Log in to the SMC2.0 with the system administrator account, enter the "Device" menu, select " MCU ", and view the current MCU connection status. If the MCU status shows that the connection with the SMC2.0 is disconnected, troubleshoot the network between the SMC and the MCU .
Step 3 Confirm whether the MCU resources displayed on the SMC2.0 are sufficient.
è Log in to the SMC2.0 with the system administrator account, enter the "Device" menu, select " MCU ", enter the MCU , and check the MCU utilization. If the utilization rate is too high, and the remaining usable resources exceed the template currently scheduled and scheduled, then end part of the conference and release the resources before attempting to schedule.
Step 4 Try to schedule only 1-2 conference sites to confirm whether a conference can be held.
è Use the administrator account to try to schedule only 1-2 conference sites to confirm whether the conference can be held. If not, go to step 5. If we can convene, and the network now there are multiple MCU in the case, check whether the system is currently only 1 service area or not set service area, into the "system" in this context - "Configuration" - "Meeting Configuration", try to open "Support service area internal cascade" and "enable dynamic migration" to solve.
Step 5 Confirm that SMC2.0 related services are running normally.
è Use the administrator user to log in to the Windows where the SMC2.0 is located (if it is a dual machine / cluster / disaster recovery, check the operating system where the host is located), and check whether the SMC2.0 related services are started. If not, try to start it manually
