SmartTier and HyperMetro

SmartTier dynamic storage tiering (DST) feature provides the intelligent data storage management function. By collecting statistics on and analyzing data activity, the SmartTier dynamically matches data with storage media with different characteristics, improving storage system performance and reducing user costs. SmartTier does not interrupt existing services or affect data read and write. SmartTier migrates active and busy data to storage media with higher performance, such as SSDs. Migrate idle data with low activity to storage media with higher capacity and lower capacity costs (such as NL-SAS disks).
HyperMetro is a new active-active LUN feature launched by Huawei. However, HyperMetro is not only a product feature but also a solution. To meet customers' requirements for improving resource utilization and implementing load balancing and automatic failover between two data centers, Huawei launched the end-to-end active-active data center solution based on.
The two are different value-added functions, which can be configured at the same time,  and do not affect each other.
