1. Upgrade the storage system from V300R001 to V300R002 or later. For details, see the corresponding upgrade guide.

2. Insert the SmartIO interface module into the storage system.

Do not insert the SmartIO interface module until the upgrade is complete, or it may cause unexpected faults to occur.

Hi friend!

Use optical fibers to connect SmartIO host ports on a controller enclosure to ports on an application server to set up service channels for data exchange between the storage device and the application server.
