SmartAX MA5800-X7 - RE: alarm LSW CRC ERROR

Hey guys, 


I have the below alarm reported on OLT: 


 ALARM 12037 FAULT MAJOR 0x02310018 EQUIPMENT 2021-06-14 07:25+02:00 DST

 ALARM NAME  : The board hardware is abnormal

 SRVEFF      : SA

 PARAMETERS  : FrameID: 0, SlotID: 2, Parameter1: 31, Parameter2: 23,

                Hardware location: Board, Fault name: The LSW CRC ERROR, Fault                  effect: L2/L3 forwarding services

DESCRIPTION : An exception occurs in the corresponding hardware, may result

                in failure to provision the corresponding service

 CAUSE       : The system detects that certain hardware is abnormal

 ADVICE      : (1)Reset the involved hardware (2)Replace the involved

                hardware (3)Repair the hardware



I tried to find a rootcause but I am unable. Is there any reasons that may produce this alarm?

Dear friend!
The possible cause of the alarm is that the corresponding hardware component of the board is faulty.
The possible causes of a hardware failure are as follows:
1. The device is aged.
2. Operating environment of the equipment (If the temperature and humidity do not meet the requirements, the heat dissipation effect of the device deteriorates.)
3. The equipment is not properly grounded, or the power supply voltage does not meet the equipment standards.
4. The slot has bent pins.
5. and external human factors.
6. The software may be abnormal, which may cause the incorrect alarm to be reported(This problem can be resolved by performing a cold reset or a soft reset).
