Hello, everyone!


This post talks about the SmartAX MA5616 lost 'root' password. Please see more details as you read further down.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION


Unfortunately, I have lost the 'root' password of my SmartAX MA5616 DSLAM.


I have tried loading new program and data files from auto-boot (Press D key), but it's not working and I still can't log in to my DSLAM.


Please help me with my SmartAX MA5616 lost 'root' password.


Do you have any solutions to recover the SmartAX MA5616 lost console password or remove all configuration (Hard-Reset Factory)?

HI Every one,
I finally found a solution to fix and reset my SmartAX-MA5616 DSLAM configuration...

*Solution:
First backup "data" (database) from an online DSLAM with command:
backup data tftp "TFTP IP Address" database
after reboot broken DSLAM to recovery mode by plug-in and press "D" on your keyboard (you should connect to it by console port)
Now as final step press key "2" and load your "data" file by TFTP or Xmodem.
Restart and reconfigure it.
