Hello everyone! I hope you are fine and doing well,i am facing slow internet issue when i am downloading any file it resume again and agian what should i do plz help me out.thanks

What do I do if Huawei ONT's Wi-Fi is slow, perform the following steps:


1. Power off and restart the ONT. Then try to connect to Wi-Fi again.


2. Visit your service provider's official website using a network cable for a speed test. If the network speed is still low, there is a problem with the network and you are advised to contact the service provider.


3. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength on your terminal. If the signal strength is weak, you may be far away from the signal source or an obstacle exists, and you are advised to get closer to the ONT.


4. If multiple terminals are connected to the Wi-Fi network, bandwidths are shared and the speed is low. Check whether you are running bandwidth-hungry services such as download and game services. If yes, disable these services and then access the Internet.


5. Get far away from Wi-Fi signal interference sources such as microwave ovens and cordless phones.


How to Increase the Network Speed, perform the following steps:


1. Wi-Fi speed relies on the bandwidth provided by the ISP, so the simplest way is to upgrade to faster broadband.


2. Wi-Fi speed is affected by the Wi-Fi signal strength and quality. Ensure that the Huawei ONT is far away from interference sources such as TVs, microwave ovens, refrigerators, cordless phones, and Bluetooth devices, and reduce the number of obstacles between the Huawei ONT and WiFi devices (such as pads, mobile phones, and laptops). You are advised to use repeaters to enhance the WiFi coverage if the area is large.


3. Using the correct radio channel. Generally, the Huawei ONT selects channels adaptively. If the network is slow or the quality turns poor from time to time, you can use a WiFi scanner such as WiFi Stumbler or WiFi Analyzer to search for the optimal channel.


4. To prevent unauthorized network access, log in to the web interface of the router, and select MAC address filtering based on your requirements. For details, see: How to configure MAC address filtering to prevent unauthorized network access on Huawei ONT.

Does your laptop connects to the Internet through Wi-Fi or a network cable?

Both Wi-Fi and network cables are provided by the ONT. If the network speed is slow, try the preceding method. If the fault persists, the ONT may be faulty. Contact the device provider for a solution.
