Hi, all!
Have a nice day to you!
The topic describes a solution to SIP registration failure on the SMC.
Alarm Description
A device fails to register with the SIP server.
Alarm
0x00900004
Impact on the System
The device cannot join a SIP conference.
Possible Causes
The SIP server is unavailable. There are many causes, for example, the SIP server IP address configured for the device is unreachable or the number of nodes registered with the SC reaches the upper limit of the license.
SIP registration information is incorrect.
Troubleshooting
1. Check whether the SIP server IP address is reachable.
Log in to the device web interface and choose Maintenance > Diagnostics > Network Test. Enter the IP address of the SIP server in IP address and click Start.
If the packet loss rate is 100.0%, the IP address is unreachable. Otherwise, the IP address is reachable.
If yes, use a reachable SIP server to conduct registration.
If no, go to Step 2.
2. Check whether the number of nodes actually registered with the SC reaches the upper limit of the license.
Log in to the SMC web interface and choose Devices > Switch Centers. On the page that is displayed, check the working status of the SC to register.
If the SC is normal, click the SC and choose Details > License Information > Maximum number of registered nodes. (If there is no license information, the maximum number of registered nodes is 10.) Under Registered Nodes of the SC information page, check whether the number of registered nodes in the registration list is greater than Maximum number of registered nodes.
If yes, import a new license or use another SC for registration.
If no, go to Step 3.
3. Check whether the SIP registration information is incorrect. If yes, correct the information. If no, contact your service provider for assistance.
For a manageable participant: Log in to the SMC web interface, and choose Devices > Participants. On the page that is displayed, select the participant, and choose Edit Participant > SIP to modify corresponding information.
For an unmanageable participant:
Log in to the SMC web interface and choose Devices > Participants. On the page that is displayed, select the participant, choose Edit Participant > SIP, and record SIP URI and SIP server address. If Authentication user name and Password are set in advance, record the settings concurrently.
Log in to the device web interface and choose System Settings > Network > H.323/SIP Settings > SIP. On-page that is displayed, set Site number, User name, and Password and set other parameters as required, and ensure that the settings on the SMC side are the same as those on the device side.
