Single routing and switch networking issues

The gateway is enabled on the core switch, and the core switch is divided into VLANs and configured with different network segments.

Then the interface connecting the core switch and the router is enabled for access.

It is equivalent to VLAN being terminated on the switch, and a layer 3 route is run between the switch and the router.

Hosts on different network segments can communicate with each other only through the gateways. In your scenario, you can only configure the gateway through the sub-interfaces on the router or configure the VLANIF interfaces on the switch.
