Hi,
When trying to connect to the S5720 switch using putty, some of you might get the error "Signature from server's host key is invalid". What happened to this login? And how can we solve that? In this post, we’ll share with you how to deal with the error "Signature from server's host key is invalid".

What caused "Signature from server's host key is invalid"?
This error is caused due to the incompatible putty version and the device version. For some old versions, such as V100R005, it is not compatible with the newer putty version. The putty has restrictions on the early version. The default setting is not supported.

There are three ways to deal with this error.
Replace your putty with an old version, such as 0.70.

Exchange the putty algorithm selection policy.
Enter the path 'SSH' > 'Host keys', and prioritize the 'RSA' to the top.
