Sign in web console from wired but not wireless aka leader AP

i am on AirEngine 8760-X1-Pro. i am trying to access the web console using the wired instead rather than having to connect to leader AP.


i able to hit the login page however failed to login. any idea?

i tried using default password (admin: admin@huawei.com) and super admin credential. somehow it failed.

Thanks for your diagram. And I have a few questions that need your confirmation.
From my understanding, I redraw the topology as below, please check if I missed something or get something wrong.

topology

  1.   When the PC connects the leader AP it fails to login the 192.168.1.144(8760-X1-PRO), while it's successful that PC login the 192.168.1.1(the leader AP) when connecting to the 8760-X1-PRO. Am I right?

  2. Whether both the interface G0/0/1 to G0/0/3 of the leader AP and interface G0/0/1, G0/0/2 of the 8760-X1-PRO are layer 2 interfaces? In other words, the IP address 192.168.1.1 of leader AP and 192.168.1.144 of 8760-X1-PRO are configured on the interface VLANif 100(Since your diagram describes the VLAN 100 is the management VLAN).

  3. Is the login 192.168.1.144(8760-X1-PRO) successful while the PC connects to the 192.168.1.144(8760-X1-PRO) G0/0/1?

Hi kbsao,
Is your login IP address changed? According to the product documentation, the default IP address for logging in to the web system through the network cable is 169.254.1.1.

Hi, if i wired connect my PC -> AP, if you are right, i can hit the web console on 169.254.1.1 (AP ip) alternatively, i can reach the console from my PC -> leader AP -> AP(192.168.1.1) however i am hitting from PC -> (either wired or wireless) router (192.168.1.1) -> AP (192.168.1.141) it show me this (refer above), i assume there will be way to login to web console without having for me to switch leader AP.

Hi,
If the login fails, the following possible causes are displayed at the same time:

  • The user name or password is incorrect.: indicates that the entered user name or password is incorrect. Click OK to check the user name and password. If they are incorrect, enter them again.

  • The user does not have the right to log in or the login right expires.: indicates that the current online user has no permission to log in to the web platform. Contact network administrators.

  • The number of login users has reached the maximum value.: indicates that the number of online web users reaches the upper limit. By default, the maximum number of online web users is 5.

  • The number of times the password is incorrectly entered has reached the limit, and the user is locked.: indicates that the current login account is locked and will be automatically unlocked after 5 minutes.

Hi, i can very sure that my username (admin) having super administrator access. and the same username and password entered into webconsole is working (via leader AP). and the one accessing from IP assigned by router (DHCP) is cant.

What do you mean 'leader AP'?
Can you draw a simple topology, I'm confused about your network topology. Is the ip address 192.168.1.1 configured on the router or AP?
In addition, what is the error that you stuck in when login the AP through web? Incorrect username or password?

In addition, please confirm whether your AP works in FAT mode or FIT mode.

please refer to the diagram. i able to access the web console on leader AP (management AP). but i on LAN connecting to router hitting the AP IP, it shows a popup (refer below diagram for your reference). so my question is really asking about why my password failed, is there anywhere i need to setup or is there any default password.

I think you can connect to device with default ip ssh and on command line you can allow web access.
