Settings for Single-Plant Sharing (Kiosk view - advertising or promote purposes).

This document describe how to setup the Kiosk-view option in order to enable public access to a PV plant into FusionSolar management server.

NOTE: this plant sharing function is supported only when the Residential user has the Kiosk view permission (contact your installer and ask for this option if is not available).

 

1. Login on your Installer account and create an Owner role

Login into your installer accountàSettingsàUser ManagementàAdd and create a new Owner role. You have to assign a PV plant to this role, usually that PV plant which you want to share its information to public.

2. Login with the new Owner account into the FusionSolar webpage:

 From the main page please select Kiosk view option and a new page will be displayed.3

Select the desired language, copy the URL link and then press Save.

3. Check the new public page:

 Open an internet page, page the copied URL link and press enter:5

The copied URL address can be inserted into any webpage for advertising purposes.

Nice Kiosk VIew : I love it ........ however....


Advantages 

  • No login anymore and direct summary of all relevant data. 

  • Easy access to most (see below) parameters

  • Colorfull and modern summary


Improvements next release

What I am missing is the option to customise the kiosk view. 

It would also be very be very nice if one of the parameters could be the generated money in a currency.

Not only how much energy was created so far but also how much money the PV generated. Is there an option to display those parameters per user in Euros or Dollars for example ?

See my example below which I dervied from my Dutch Kiosk view:

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately the money option is not available yet, we will let our colleagues from Research & Development team to know about that, maybe they can include it into the next server firmware upgrade.
Regarding the currency, it should appears that currency selected by the company owner at the beginning (Euro, AUD, USD etc).

HI I fully agree with your reply. Maybe an additional note for the money option is to enable this only when the user wants to share this. I can imagine that some users do not want to show to the outside world how much money they make with their PV.

Yes, this was one of the reasons that money option was not integrated there, in fact if someone wants to calculate the benefits they can multiply the energy yield with price/kWh and they can figure out what would be the amount.

I agree, but with a switch option (Enable display of money or Disable display of Money) a user could use it in-house.

If you are reffering to a particular plant, this is not possible, you can't customize that Plant Overview tab.

The only thing that can be customize is on the FusionSolar Home Page  - Plants Overview, see below:

No, there is a list in Kiosk View Settings, called Display content, just below the url, and I dont want to share my Plant Overview but everything else.
