To use your endpoint to implement video communication over a Wi-Fi network, configure the Wi-Fi settings.
Procedure
Expand All- Choose and click the Wi-Fi Settings tab.
- Set the Wi-Fi parameters.
To set your endpoint to Wi-Fi Client mode, perform the following steps:
- Set Wi-Fi Client to Enable.
Your endpoint automatically scans for available wireless routers and lists the found wireless routers under Select WLAN.
If you need to set a static IP address for your endpoint, go to 2.b. Otherwise, go to 2.d.
- Click Save.
- Under Select WLAN, select the wireless router to connect to and click Connect.http://localhost:7890/pages/CEF0127H/09/CEF0127H/09/resources/public_sys-resources/icon-note.gif NOTE:If the wireless router you want to connect to is not listed, select Others, click Connect, and manually add the router.
- Click OK.
When your endpoint is connected to the wireless router, the status of the router is connected.
To set your endpoint to Wi-Fi Hotspot mode and enable it to provide router functions, perform the following steps:
- Set Wi-Fi Hotspot to Enable.
If you enable Wi-Fi Hotspot, wireless endpoints, such as the VPM220W, tablets, and PCs, can access a Wi-Fi network by connecting to this hotspot.
- Click Whitelist and perform the following operations:
- Click Add, enter the MAC address of the device that is to connect to this hotspot, and click OK.
- Select a device and click Delete. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK.

The settings take effect immediately. You can then check the MAC address, and IP address of the device connected to your endpoint.
